2/5/08 Update

Well, it's 10 days since my last post and I'm still 11.1 - v annoyed! Not sure what's gone wrong but can't seem to get into Paul McKenna at all at the minute, I'm fine at eating what I want but keep forgetting to eat v slowly and stopping as soon as I think I'm full!! Plus my dress has arrived in the shop so went to try that on (not a fitting just a try on) and it fitted nicely everywhere except across the chest which will need taking in - so that's not really much of an incentive as it's not as if I was bursting out of it. Plus the woman in the store said because the dress is so detailed (it's got beading and embroidery all over it) the bulk of my weight loss will have to come before my first fitting at the end of May so they've got time to complete it in time the for the wedding.

As you can imagine I'm now in a complete panic about it and totally kicking myself for not losing the weight sooner - but hey ho there's nothing I can do about the past but what I do know is that I definitely want to ideally be 9 stone for my wedding but I'll settle for 9.7 if I have to. That's a 2 stone loss in 3 months which is achievable - I've done a similar amount in a similar time before so I know I can do it. But realistically that means for dress fitting I need to lose at least a stone in 4 weeks so 3-4 pounds a week. Whilst I'm know Paul McKenna's such a sensible way of eating for life and it's definitely something I want to get into the habit of doing aagain, right now I can't rely on him for this amount of weight loss - so the plan for May is fad diets and exercise. I know they're not especially good for you and I know they don't work in the long term but like I said I'm desperate and it's only going to be for a few weeks so I know I can shift a stone. After that I'll definitely give PM another go.

So from tomorrow I'm going to start the egg based one off the weight loss forum.
Week 2 - sacred heart diet
Week 3 - special K diet
Week 4 - no carbs, no dairy, no sugar

These combined with regular exercise should hopefully work but will let you know how I'm getting on next week - until then happy dieting!

The sacred heart diet's basically a soup that you make and then specific foods for specific days eg. fruit one day, protein another. If you give me your email address I can send it to you if you like? I've never done it before but one of the other brides on here said she had got results from it and at this stage I'm willing to try anything! xx
