We've ordered the ring, we're going away for weekend to celebrate, we've even set the date. And now the problems start...
We're going to be doing almost everything online, until about five weeks before the wedding. When we set the date we knew this was going to be the case, and so we decided to keep everything fairly simple, without too many things to go wrong.
Yet, somehow things are going badly already. Firstly, my h2b's mother has not confirmed that the date is OK. The new world of email and internet is fine until people don't check their f-ing email. This means that we can't confirm the photographer that we really want, nor start booking anything else.
Secondly, I'm already finding the dress choice irritating. I am planning to get the dress made in Vietnam in a couple of months, but now I'm thinking that being able to go to a bridal shop and try on some styles to see what I want would be a very good idea. Unfortunately I live in a country of disgusting wedding dress choices for stick thin women with no taste (South Korea, by the way).
Lastly, all the bridal magazines I can buy are American. This in itself is not a major problem, until you find a dress that is only stocked in the USA! Anyone know a Stephanie James stockist in the UK?
Hopefully things will be looking up tomorrow.
