Tiring day at the National Wedding Show

Hi Ladies :)

Well, yesterday I spent the day at the national wedding show with my chief bridesmaid! We arrived in Birmingham at about 9.45 and sat having some tea before going in at about 10.10. Couldn't believe the queue and the lack of men! We thought it would be mostly ladies but looking at the queue it was amusing how few blokes were there! Anyway, we checked our coats, figuring we'd have enough to carry throughout the day, picked up our programme and started making our way around!

It was SO busy until about 3, then it calmed down and we could actually see what was on each stall as we went past! Managed to find some lovely fasinators for the bridesmaids so was really pleased about that, because I hadn't realised what they were before that really! We were both disappointed by the lack of BM dresses though, as that was what we went to find. We found one decent-sized rail of them and spoke to one lady who had just been moaning about the same thing! Seems silly that there were only a few stalls, surely there are more bms than brides out there?!

Anyway, tried on a few dresses myself and got some more ideas. I think the best one was a barketex dress - I was worried it would look too shiny but it looked great on. I still haven't had 'the feeling' about any dresses, which is a bit depressing. After a while I lost enthusiasm for it because they all started to look the same (we stayed at the show all day, 8 hours in total!). Hope i do eventually get the feeling for 'the one'.

Think I'm going to start filling in my new planner I got free yesterday, (didn't manage to find the stall until about 5.30, and only then because the woman was gesturing to me and asking whether I got my free planner yet!)

I was in bed by 10.30 (normally not til gone 12) and was asleep on the sofa before that - I was absolutely shattered. Me and my CBM had some giggles on the way home, we were both so tired hehe.

Bye ladies.

cammieknickers that is unbelievable! The dresses I tried on where all too expensive and like I said, didn't give me the 'feeling'. I can understand why you got stressed rachelLiza, some people were really rude and pushy!

I went on Sat and it was so busy and all the women pushing about. I got stressed and only stayed for about three hours. The catwalk show was good though.
