Can life get much more complicated?

After the hospital saga over the weekend I now have a bruised right wrist and elbow from blood tests.

Steve had a bad back yesterday he caught it as he changed the sheets, so deep heat been deployed the last couple of days.

Woke up myself this morning with a swollen and very stiff neck. So had to put a neck brace on.

Lymphoedema is very swollen and painful. Still waiting for specialist appointment.

Just can't believe my luck. Its over a year ago I had my mastectomy.

Oh well I suppose with all these problems before the wedding I just hope our big day is special.

Best wishes to everyone.

Oh boy,

The things that happen to me. Ended up at out of hours doctors on Friday night 8.20 pm in the local hospital grounds. From there got referred to A&E and was advised I was going to be admitted for the night.

Needed an ECG to be done and other blood tests and would most probably be finished by 4 am and then discharged after ward round.

Reality. Had to check in with triage department in A&E, then got told to wait in waiting room. Chest pains were bad and felt awful. Had an ECG and then got told there were no beds.

Steve had come with me bless him and sat with me. At 1o.30 it was obvious there were no beds and there were people far worse than I was so I offered to go home.

Nursing staff wouldn't let me and I ended up crying. The nurses gave Steve and I coffee and advised us to talk through what we should do.

The metal seats were not comfortable and Steve was exhausted having worked from 6 am that morning.

At 1 am he finally went home (after paying £2 for the next day's car parking only to be informed they don't check until 6.45 am so we needn't have paid £4 in total for car parking).
12 am til 12 am is the £2 limit.

Eventually 5 am came and I finally had a chest x-ray the out of hours doctor thought I had a possible pneumothorax and hence wasn't taking any chances especially with my history.

At 5.30 am they allowed me to go home. I telephoned Steve and he came and picked me up.

Needless to say we were both exhausted but relieved to know it was only a chest infection.

The things that happen to me LOL. You have to laugh else you cry.

My right arm is now bruised from blood gas test and other bloods taken but the main thing is I am doing ok.

Best wishes to everyone.

Hi Everyone

Finally I have managed to upload a photo.

I hope this link works. This shows me in the dream dress I had my heart set on but unfortunately am unable to wear it due to the mastectomy.

That looks lovely!! I think you could wear it- with or without a padded/shaped bra. But if you don't I hope you find another dress that makes you feel like a princess :-) I'm sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis! I jope they managed to treat it quickly and effectively!

Just received a phone call from BHS they have now got the waistcoat in for Steve. That means all the main wedding party are sorted with waistcoats.

Another thing off the list.

Can't wait to get it all sorted out and paid for now.

Best wishes everyone.
