happily ever after........

I have decide to write my first blog, (while h2b raids on WOW, and I get semi ignored for 5 hours with the occasional I love you). I’m really glad my wedding gets to be the first one. A little about my self, I’m 25 and a British South African and moved over to England 9 months ago to be with my wonderfully h2b. We both live in Worcester. We met online when I was working in France, and even during chatting online and our nightly 4 hour telephone conversation (I guess that should have been a tip off) I knew I had found the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, and our first date was wonderful As to be expected both our mothers were a little concerned at first, but thankfully that all sorted it self out.

We got engaged on the 25th of July and have set our date for the 14th of March 09. Our plans are going quiet well, and like most other couples have had our fair share of moans and complaints as to this date didn’t suit that person, and then tantrums as this family member wasn’t thought of, and I vividly remember after my h2b and I got home after visiting one of his mums friends bursting into tears as I had finally had enough and the breaking straw was her telling me I was silly as I wanted my h2b to wear a waistcoat and her telling me how to plan the sitting arrangements, then it was the South African sides turn to cause issues, my mom and sister both agreed to fly out which I am so so happy about as I don’t think I could get married with out my mom here, they had decided that they wanted to land the weekend before the wedding forgetting that. That was when we had arranged to have our family get to know each other, I think for a week I was phoning my h2b at work in tears as I thought my family didn’t care, then after him sending a polite email, all was thankfully rectified.

Now the happy parts, we are having a vintage glam wedding theme with ivory, wine red and black as our colours, we decide we would make our own invites as I feel cheated to pay someone almost £400 for 30 invites and bits and pieces that go with it, so we opted to make our own and know they would be unique, My MIL2b is making our wedding cake but having it professional iced and my mom is making my Wedding dress, which I have now started dreaming about:-S it being to small or to big, even though I know its going to be prefect.

I am finding it a bit hard at the moment, as all the wedding plans are going really well, but I get a little upset as I have to smile and nod when my mil~ 2b disagrees with me, I don’t have any close family here who I can rant at when I get emotional or upset, as I don’t want to moan at my h2b about his mom as that’s not fair on him, and I have no close female friends here either, and I have just started working so I’m hoping that will change

Hoping to keep you all updated
