today is day 2 of me being home alone with kids. h2b went back to work yesterday after 6 weeks off (paid - yay).
as it was tuesday mil had ollie and so i just had phoebe yesterday. i got up with phoebe at 7am and even managed to get b th her and myself dressed and mop the kitchen before getting ollie up and dressed at 9 and i'd dropped him at mils by 9.15am - result!
me and phoebe didnt really do anything much yesterday. after dropping ollie off we popped to toys r us to get some pink things for her bedroom (as we didn't find out the sex when i was pregnant it's currently very neutral - winnie the pooh) i got her a lovely pink mobile and some bedding and also some clothes. i've got my eye on this gorgeous pink baby bouncer from fisher price but toys ru didnt have any, boo.
next we popped to tescos for a few more bits we didn't manage to get at asda over the weekend, i also got her some more sleepsuits as it was 20% off - bargain.
managed to get 4 loads of washing done yesterday too, and the house tidied. i was feeling quite chuffed with myself until i went back to get oliver at 6.. i planned on staying a while to let mil and fil spend some time with phoebe but as soon as we got there she started kicking off, really wailing so i ended up going within 10 minutes..what a shame.
once we were home she was fine though and happily stayed up until 7pm when i got started on bedtime.. putting them both to bed wasn't as hard as i thought. they were both asleep by 7.30pm, h2b's tea was done for when he walked in the door and i was feeling pretty smug.. that was until phoebe woke up 20 mins later and wouldnt settle until nearly 9pm.
she's a bit of a mare to get to bed because she wants help going to sleep, i.e to be rocked, cuddled etc but we just can't fall into that trap as it's a habit that's hard to break so we're battling to teach her to fall asleep on her own. it's tough now as it takes on average 2 hours to get her to sleep and endless trips up and down the staris on a night but it is getting easier.
ollie on the other hand has always been a good sleeper usually sleeps 14 hours at night plus a nap of at least 2 hours in the daytime, something tells me phoebe isnt going to follow by example..

weightwatchers last night was really good, i actually enjoyed it loads which i never thought i would.
i even won 2 prizes on the raffle! a pedometer and a box of cookies, a good omen i think!
i bought a monthly pass so now i've no choice i'll have to go again. i really want to too, i'm so fired up and motivated - I CAN DO THIS!
so i stepped on the scales, would you believe it it said 12 stone 12lb what's all that about!?? i was 12 stone 4lb on tuesday and theres no way i've put on 8lb in less than a week. maybe it's because it was at a different time of day. i usually weigh myself first thing in the morning (allegedly when you're the lightest) after a feed but last night my boobs were full to bursting as i'd missed a feed, i'd expressed earlier for h2b to feed phoebe. also it was at night. apparently it's quite common for ww scales to say you're heavier!
so today i'm trying to get my head around this whole points malarky, quite simple actually once you get it. so far i've had 17 1/2 points, my allowance is 24 i'm on kickstart but because i'm breastfeeding i have to have an extra 6 points.
been down the shops again and bought a nice frock for the christening, it's a lovely peachy pink kind of colour although i dont exatcly feel like a super model in it, at least it's able to contain my rediculous boobs. gonna have myself a nice pampering night tonight, get in the bath do my nails, hair, fake tan. cant remember the last time i had time to do that and plus i wont have any time to get ready in the morning as we've gotta be in leeds for 11am and so we're setting off at the crack of dawn, or so h2b says..

the weather has taken a nose dive but i'm still feeling relatively sunny actually! i'm getting a hang of this mother of two lark now, next step is to go it alone when h2b goes back to work on tuesday.
i'm quite jittery about it actually, he's been off for 5 weeks now and i'm so used to him being around to help.i'm sure i'll manage to muddle though somehow.
today we;'re going to the baby show in birmingham which i am so looking forward to! ollie is staying at mils for the day today as there's no way he'd sit in the pushchair for long so we're just taking phoebe.
i went to try and find something to wear for the christening yesterday, which i must say was a rather depressing experience. i know i've just had a baby but i feel so fat and minging, and my huge boobs made it almost impossible to find anything that fits right or looks nice.
i'm going to have to go back on saturday and have another look, hopefully i'll find something.
molly has been naughty again, whilst outside yesterday she bit a hole in olivers paddling pool..
The Sex and the City film is coming out soon, im soooooooo excited! SATC is my favourite show EVER i have all the boxsets on video and dvd i've watched them over and over again. It looks like going to see the film will be our first night out together since having phoebe, i'll still be sad about leaving her though even though she'll be asleep.

weather is still absolutely fab here, spent most of the past week in the garden and have some shocking tan lines to show for it. my 'tan' is a colour i can only describe as 'corned beef', i'm well sore. what is it about british sun that makes you burn?
i've got to get something to wear for my neice's christening on sunday too, might be a bit tricky to hide them.
h2b has now got a new job with a better wage and better hours too so all is great here right now. his months notice has started today so he could have another month off if he wanted, but i think his new employer want him to start in a few weeks.
phoebe is doing great, she's now 4 weeks old and growing fast. she's 10lbs 6oz now and is now in the next size clothes and nappies.
olivers tantrums have been a lot less frequent recently thank god, he's been too busy enjoying playing in the garden in the sunshine.
molly is back in the dog house again because she decided it'd be fun to chew 3 of our wooden garden chairs, cheeky mare.
weighed myself again on tuesday, 12lb 5lbs so i've lost another 2lb, 1stone 12lbs to go until my target of 10stone 7lbs 423 days until the wedding! i'm going to WW with my friend on friday at 6.30pm, hopefully h2b will be ok putting the kids to bed.
its the baby show at birmingham NEC this weekend, we're going on friday. it's the 3rd year we've been now and i just love it. you've never seen so many prams, babies and pregnant women in your life it's crazy but you can get some great freebies and bargains.
anyways i think thats all my news for now, better get back to the mad house.
