Hi guys - indeed time is slipping by quite quickly. It suddenly struck me that this time next year it will be 2 weeks to the wedding - how exciting and nerve racking too.
Hi TABS - went to church on Sunday, highly amusing. It was a children's service so we got instruments and got to play along to 'cross over the road' - i am thinking of including it in the wedding service lol. We are getting married in Ipstones, which is a village on the edge of the peak district where i grew up. Marquee in the parents garden, so fingers firmly crossed for sunshine (obviously).

Our vicar didn't even recognise me - very scatty. He realised who we were though with a bit of prompting. we are going to go again in August to an adult service so we can see the choir and organist - though I am not sure whether we can have the choir because of availabilty - hope so though. Must remember to remind the Vicar to find out.
Currently trying to decide on a honeymoon destination - we were thinking of the trans-canadian rail trip with a few days at Vancouver & Toronto either side, but we don't have loads of time and don't want to get into masses of debt for it - any ideas ladies?????

I must put 'go to church' on my calendar at some point!!!!! I've always wanted to do Canada. We've doing 2 weeks in California, Las vegas and San Francisco. Put a thread on the honeymoon forum, got some great tips about Vegas from the girls and it'll give you a few more ideas.

We were going to to new York as I love it there, but we wanted to go somewhere where neither of us had been. The only thing we've decided for definate so far is that we're staying at the Bellagio and doing a helicopter ride over the grand Canyon. Also been told we must see the O show cirque de soleil. I'll look forward to your tales tomorrow!!!!

I went to Vegas with a friend a few years ago - there was a special offer on Expedia and we just booked it and off we went. I loved it - CSI is my favourite programme - it was amazing. To be honest if you are not into gambling (which I am not) I think it could get boring after a long stay, but we went for a week and it was just right. We went on a trip to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon, went up the stratosphere tower and saw the Circ du Soleil at New York New York. Mr Smilesnine also went before I met him & did the helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon.
We stayed in Circus Circus (very cheap last minute deal) but we wandered round all the casino's - they are amazing! I especailly liked New York New York (the italian restaurant in there is very nice - esp. if you can get a seat at the counter & watch the chefs), I liked the aquarium at Mandalay Bay, the fountains at the Bellagio (of course) - there is a good cocktail bar/restaurant in Tresure Island and margueritaville is always worth a visit. We got very very drunk in there - oh the shame. My only regret is that I didn't buy the huge musical snowdome I saw that played 'luck be a lady tonight' The best diner is the peppermill which is further down the strip by Circus Circus & the Riveria - apparently a bit of an old Vegas landmark.
We have found a virgin holidays package with 3 nights in vegas, 7 nights in Hawaii and 4 nights in San Francisco - but its on the pricey side so....

I've never really fancies Vegas but so may people I know rave about it so I think it's a must if we're over that way!
