Hi everyone - I'm also getting married on 1st Nov 2008 so can I join your club??!!
We're tying the knot at Down Hall in Bishop's Stortford - so not too far from the Essex wedding also listed!!
I'm trying to book a reputable DJ at the mo and had my ear talked off for 17mins this afternoon by a DJ plugging his band/disco - I couldn't get a word in!! Have you guys booked yours yet? How can I find a recommended one?

Hi girls - good to hear there are so many Nov 1st brides! My BM's dresses are in Amethyst and should be arriving May time I think. Tying the theme all the way through to link everything together. What about the rest of you?

kps2be - We booked our band and DJ through a music promotions company. They recommended good ones for what we wanted and we went aong to see the band before we booked. Maybe you can find something like that in your area? x

Have any of you had the Halloween weekend comments yet - its the first thing people keep saying to me - getting married at halloween are you...

Mrs H-Stobe - you'll have to tell them (nicely!) they don't have brain cells clearly, because we're not getting married at Halloween, that's the 31st of October, we're all getting married on the 1st of November. Or, like Bonfire Night, does Halloween now last a whole week, LOL?!
