Will you be having lots of people attending? We're having a small affair with just our parents and siblings.

Are you having your make up and hair done at the hotel? I'm not sure they'll be able to cope with my hair lol (long and curly).

thank god there really are other people getting married over there! i am soooooooooo excited and even more so today as my dressmaker has said she can definately make the dress i want so in about 3/4 weeks i will be the proud owner of a (copy) of a miss t couture dress woo hoo!! i have had it made because my theme is black and white butterflies and couldnt find anything i liked apart from this so having them added on x anyway getting back to the subject lol the wedding is almost paid for and we really did get it for a bargain price! the hotel looks amazing and have only heard a few bad things about it but mainly from grumpy men who had nothing to do lol!nothing bad from wedding couples or honeymooners so fingers crossed it will be great when we get there! there is only me and my h2b going and his mum and my best friend (who is a hairdresser) and her boyfriend so we are gonna have a huge party when we get back! which we still have to arrange but at the moment i cant think of anything but my dress and ring hehe! should really get my finger out!
so how far have you got with your arrangements hirsty2b? miss vw you have a little longer to prepare but bet your still looking all the time if your anything like me? hope you both get back to me x think h2b is bored of the wedding all ready hes not interested in invitations or cards or favours yawn hehe x

Hi Retaeken, Your have to send a picture of your dress when you have it, it must be really exciting to be having exactly what you want made.

There are a few brides who have got married at the Eden so maybe if you post in the married section they are still around and have pictures to show you.

I have my dress, my tiara and such, h2b has his suit, it is just the two of us and my Mum and Dad (mainly because Mum sulked so much).

I haven't chosen my rings yet. Are you having a big party when you get back? x x x

We chose Sri Lanka for that hotel, we have our own paddly pool, heard that and I was sold! It is really expensive though, my Mum and Dad are staying at the Taj Exotica and that was about half the price, so I hope mine is worth the extra. I love the thought that if we don't want to we don't have to leave our room because we have our own garden and swimming pool. We are going for 15 nights, flying out on the 30th November, getting married on the 5th and then going to Dubai for 6 nights. What is your itinery? What extras are you having? x x x

we paid £2119 for 8 nights and the package we got was cracking we got to choose the location etc we get an elephant ride,boat ride ,dancers drummers ,wine ,upgarde..... so much i would be here forever listing lol

mum and dad didnt want to be on the plane that long but that was there choice they arent bothered!

one of my best mates is coming ,i wouldnt of heard the last of it if she didnt,shes paying for herself so not a problem for me,and shes buying her own dress too bless her!

That is a really good price. For our wedding we get flowers, cake, bubbly, photos, 5 course romantic dining experience, massage for two and some other beauty treatments. The dancers and drummers and elephant are extra and we are struggling to get costs. I think we will have the dancers and drummers but I'm unsure about getting the elephant as I think I will feel a plonker!

My Mum and Dad are coming but h2b's arn't. We are having a big family meal when we get back with my family and then a party with friends not sure about h2b family yet as they will never come down here and I'm not sure when we will go to see them.

You get so much, my package was twice that for half the amount but that was the choice I made by booking the hotel we did. It's funny to think we will be out there at the same time, it would of been even funnier if it was the same hotel! Are you going to wear your dress for your party when you get back?

Sent all my paperwork off now, have you done all that? I also have my flights through now so it seems more real. What are you doing for hair and makeup? I think I will do it myself as when my Mum got married abroad they made her look about 80! I keep practicing curling it, I'm getting better, just pray it works in the heat! x x x

i went trying dresses on with my mum ,her best friend,my best friend, h2bs mum and two girls i work with . the owner of the shop had me stood in a pair of pointy 3 inch wedding shoes and my underwear and netted skirt!! tried a dress on and didnt like it so she pulled it up and off my head but made me lean back,so i also stepped back and onto my underskirt! do i ned to tell you what happened next? well i fell flat on my backside flashed my flu and gave everyone a laugh!! wouldnt be surprised to see myself on youve been framed lol x

im a florist and work for myself so even though ive been offered the bq think im gonna take my own cos i would realyy like to have something a bit different like spiky black roses with white feathers and butterflys! but will see what they have to offer! what sort of table decorations are you having?

my best mates a hair dreser so no probs there ,i am trying to grow it now though because we only got engaged feb i had my hair cut before i knew! my cousin got married feb2nd so i wanted a mad hairdo and had a concave ,dyed it black red and green lol! so im leaving the colour at the moment as its still ages away but im growing it out! i can just get it in a ponytail now its about an inch long so if its not long eneough for when i get over there im thinking about getting a hair piece! not sure what style though i want something quite funky!

I have just ordered a box from the empty box company, it is the exact dimensions allowed for hand luggage so hopefully my dress will fit. Make sure if you get one you get the maxi travel as your friend probably had a normal wedding box and they are much bigger than your allowed to take as hand luggage. I'm hoping to get my shoes and tiara etc in there too but that may be optimistic!

Your so lucky having your best mate there to do your hair, if she feels like popping over and doing mine! ;-) Struggling to imagine this 'mad hairdo' but I know how you feel about the cutting it all off, I was going to cut mine in to a bob but then when h2b proposed I decided to leave it. I am just wearing mine down in curls but pulled back slightly with my tiara. As I said I keep practicing, h2b loves my hair in curls and I have worn it curly more times in the last month than since we met so he must know I'm going to wear it curly for our wedding x

retaeken, I've only bought scatter orchids for the table and for my cake and turquoise butterfly place cards so far...so still lots to do but plenty of time to get it done. The black goldfish and flower bowl sounds like a real feature! It would definitely go with your b&w theme!

I'd also thought of buying a hair piece to make life a bit easier. Not sure what h2b will think of that when I take it off at the end of the night! lol Have either of you seen a hairpiece which is already styled? (i.e not a long piece of hair but one already in a hepburn style?) I don't know if they exist, but I thought I could just clip it on and it would be done!

I'd looked at the empty box company too, they seem like the best choice. Just need to decide which pattern to get! x

i really want quite a mixed up traditional/funky hairdo on the day but cant do any practising yet!
my hair is only about an inch long if i drag it into a pony!
i want something a bit outragous for my head dress/tiara/fasinater too ,i have tiaras on my wedding flower stall but want something different ,i tried some right over the top creations on while i was trying desses!! one looked like a dead pigeon hehe!!

my friends sister makes tiaras and crowns so gonna have a word with her see what she can do me!! its quite handy working in a market ,you get to know alot of traders and they know people who know people!!
