Subject : your opinions wanted please
Hi girls looking for some opinions on chair cover, linen hire etc. I'm looking into starting my own chair cover and linen hire business. I wondered how many of you's used this for your wedding or why you chose not to. Was it the price that put you off? I have my own wedding in 8 weeks and couldn't believe the difference in price between companies. There is nobody local within 60 miles of where i am and feel there may be an opportunity for me to start my own business.
Any comments welcome.
Thanks

Hi Jules,
If I was having a formal sit down meal then I would probably consider chair covers but as I would like a 'fun' day and am only having an evening reception, I really didn't see the point.
The last 4 weddings I have been to this year have all been evening receptions only and not one of them had chair covers as there were other things that their money was better spent on.
I suppose it depends what is important to you on the day. My opinion is that its only going to be someones back side sat on them all night and no-one is really going to care LOL I'd rather put the £400 quid or so behind the bar for everyone to enjoy.
Saying that, there are a lot of people who would probably benefit from your services. I say 'go for it' you won't know unless you try.
Best of luck with it

Jules.
Hi, I am a complete and utter control freak and will be having chair covers. All white. The chairs in the venue are gold and will not match my colour scheme at all.
However, it comes at a price and is a complete pain in the backside between you and I. They are coming from a company who my sister knows so we do not have to oay for the hire, BUT we have to put them all on ourselves the night before, take them off the next day, have them dry cleaned and return them via post the following week... It was meant to be a favour and is costing us money AND precious time.
If we had thought this through I guess we would have just gone for a cheap company who put the covers on the chairs and collect them the next day! Seems like a right palava! But at least the photos will look good
Hmmm, my post was longer than I wanted it to be! Sorry! Good luck!

We are having chair covers, nothing to do with the venue's chairs but we just thought it might make the room look better with them on, the room just looked 'empty' without them, especially the ceremony room
Ours have cost £3 each and that includes delivery, set up and collection the next day. I am really impressed with the service I have received and its completely stress free- they even liase with the venue to get it all arranged.

we're having chair covers & they're doing our table linen / runners too. it's a local firm we're using rather than ones that you set up yourself.

We hadn't originally thought about chair covers but seeing as we have managed to cut back in other areas I decided to splash out on them.
We got a good deal £2.25 per chair with a satin sash and for that they come and set them up and then remove them and take them away. No effort for us as they will deal with it all.
I just thought they would make our venue look extra nice as the chairs didn't really look that fantastic really.
