hi ladies,

been feeling a bit bloated recently and been eating lots of startchy foods and am also concerned about my skin, had a few more breakouts recently and want to have nice skin for my holiday in 5 weeks (yey!) so i heard that if you up your intake of water it might help you lose weight as sometimes our bodies confuse thirst with hunger, so from today i am goign to try and stick to drinking my 2 litres of water a day and see if it makes a difference

was wondering if anyone else has done this and if it made a difference?

Water

I got told that you should try and drink as much water as you possibly can in a day to help flush toxins ect. I do it and I can drink between two and five litres a day. It has really helped me stopped waking up feeling bloated. I love waking up with a flatter stomach!

Water

Hi girls, am trying to drink lots of water. Well, 2 litres but always find it difficult since I can never be bothered with 20 trips to the toilet every day and night. annekatsu 5 litres is a heck of a lot of water. Too much water is not great for us either so easy there. Don't forget that fruit and it's juices are also counted as fluid intake per day. But I go to the other extreme where I can go for days with only drinking one or two glasses only. Bad of me I know but am making an effort now. Don't want to be getting kidney stones.

To cut a long story short...I did the lighter life diet 2 years ago, I lost 8 stone and have kept it off ever since .

One of the key successes for the diet was to drink more than 4 litres of water each day. Imagine when you drink water it turns a waterwheel inside you.. It keeps all toxins out and helps you to rid your body of fat etc etc. It reduces hunger too. You must drink often throughout the day and not all in one go!

There were days when I struggled to drink my quota so... Sometimes slightly warmed water from a kettle is better instead of cold. I also found sipping water rather than gulping allowed me to drink more throughout the day.

If you continue to drink so much during the day, your bladder gets used to it and you won't need to wee as frequently..believe me it gets easier....

I woulnd never suggest you drink more than 4 litres a day as your water intake can include tea, coffee, juice..and your food often includes water too..... just be sensible..... begin with 2 litres of water a day...throughout the day and see if it helps!

wow soon to be a missus that's good going with keeping the weight off. A lot of my colleagues have done the lighter life and have all put weight back on again. So that's fantastic in keeping it off. Need to get some lemon and squeeze into water. At least it would make it much morte interesting than just water eh? plus it flushes out toxins better. Although it is a diuretic so that just means even more trips to the loo haha..

Soon to be missus good on you for keeping it off!

As for water I can drink between 4 and 6 litres a day. But I find I must drink it through a straw as it helps me drink a hell of alot more whereas if I drink it in big gulps I barely get through a glass. I also find flavoured water I get through this much quicker however that could possibly be because of the sugar content right?!

i drink a lot of water too, about 3 - 4 litres a day, warm water is always good for the erm digestive system too! if i need something different i stick a peppermint tea bag in, they are lush. lemon and hot water is nice too.

i really do think it works, if i dont drink much i feel sluggish and tired. my skin also suffers!
