On the internet.....
He swept me off my feet. We chatted for months before I agreed to meet him ( I asked him for his address and Car Reg no and sent it to my friends including the place we were meeting incase he was an axe murderer)
It was love at first sight.... I was so nervous when I got out of the car that I dropped my phone, he tried to pick it up at the same time as me and then , in true comedy style...we head butted each other!!!! LOL!
The rest,, they say...is history!

lol that's a great story - how lovely. Internet website how you met I take it? A friend of mine met her h2b on Match.com.
I worked with my h2b's sister for 3 years without even knowing she had a brother. After a painful break up from a man who was no good for me (how come you never see if until you are out of the destructive relationship?) I was invited to this girl's 30th birthday party. I was depressed and came close to not going but my mum convinced me. I was first to arrive and was introduced to Paul who was visiting from down South and my head practically spun around - I spent the party silently stalking him - little did I know he was doing the same to me. Thank goodness we got talking. 8 months later I moved to Kent to live with him - I've never done anything so spontanious in my life. My life was turned around and I've never been happier.

I met my h2b on Myspace lol!! I have never ever done anything like that before, most of my friends on there were real life friends. I'd been in an emotionally abusive relationship for 5 years, with children, and I'd been single for a while. I wasn't looking though, but he added me on Myspace..now normally I don't accept guys, 'specially with a private profile but for some reason, I did, we talked all night, then on msn for the next 3 days till 4/5am!! (working with matchsticks in my eyelids lol!). I agreed to meet up after only 3 days....but was on a night out with mates aswell, we went off to the pics and it was just so immediate...
I moved in with him after 2 months...and he proposed....I have never ever been so spontaneous before, specially with having kids, I was actually very guarded....but with him, I guess I just knew...well, I was right anyway!! x

Munchkin30 that sounds just like my best friend. Myself, 2 local friends and h2b organised a holiday last year and I invited my best friend from Manchester to come along too. She and one of my friends got it together - seriously didn't see that coming as they'd met before - she uprooted and moved down South 2 months later and they're getting married next year! So happy for them. They're very sweet together. A little bit Harold and Hilda, but in a good way.
As for me & my h2b, I'd known him for about 10 years before we got together. We were in a large-ish group of friends but sometimes you get two people who have never actually and a 121 conversation, and we were it. We'd both admired each other from afar all that time without the other having a clue, and had both been in long term relationships for large chunks of the time anyway. One day we actually had a conversation and the rest is um... history.

I met my h2b at a gig in a local hall. His friend was in the band and he was 19 and I was 16. I was sat on the floor and he came and sat next to me and chatted to me and offered to walk me home. We discovered we were both at the same college and arranged to meet up the following Monday. The problem was that although we became friends, he decided I wasa little bit to young for him. I was besotted however! I used to wait for him after college to walk hom every day and drag my friends to the pub where he drank to see if he was there at the weekends.
I eventually got over him, and 5 years and 2 disastrous relationships later we got together! He started coming into the pub where I worked and got chatting again; he obviously decided I wasn't too young for him anymore and we started going out! He tells everyone that I stalked him when we were younger ;-) The funny thing is, that we'd met years before- his mum and dad are the best friends of my aunt and uncle and he spent most of his summer holidays with my cousins as a kid. We even have a photo of us at the same birthday party together from about 1982. We'll have been together for 10 years when we get married!

I met my h2b through a girl i'd been friends with in school but hadn't seen or heard from in six years as she'd moved! Met her randomly in fresher's week at uni then a few weeks later went to a party with a group of friends and she brought him! At first I thought they were together, but to my delight I was assured otherwise hehe... xx
