I am getting married in Cyprus in 9months time and have some very close friends coming out who will be taking photos left right and centre - I want to tell them polietly not to post them on Facebook or pass them around work before I get back - otherwise all my excitement will be taken away. A friend got married only 2 months ago in the UK then flew off the next day to have their honeymoon - that same day hundreds of photos were on the net. We are having a party on our return when everyone will be able to see us in our outfits - I just want all the photos to be kept hush, hush until we return so we can share our special day with everyone. Am I being selfish?????? I think they will understand - was thinking of a little declaration for them to sign......Is that going overboard?? HELP PLEASE XX

Don't show my photos before me

I'll be in the same position as you as we are going away to Greece and don't want anyone who isn't there seeing our wedding pics before our party back home. I'm just going to ask everyone very nicely not to show the pics to anyone. This happened with our engagement as we were away when we got engaged and people congratulated me on bebo before I got to tell anyone outside the family about it. I wasn't very happy about it!!! x

Hello! I agree with Woman_of_Virtue. Its not at all selfish to want to see your wedding photos first, but I think that as they're very close friends then a declaration would definitely be OTT, I can't imagine they would have any problem with you just asking them not to put the photos on the net/show them around before you see them. I certainly wouldn't if I was in the position of one of your friends, however I would think that having to sign a declaration was perhaps showing a lack of trust and also being a bit bridezillaish! x

Don't show my photos before me

lol, I understand exactly what you...'declaration' sounds a bit too formal and binding but I think it'd a great idea just to ask them and explain that you want to be able to celebrate with them too...after all, it is your day, I'm sure they can wait a little. xx
