  • Too many bridesmaids?

  • Posted by jojoPM

Hi everyone - I'm new here, hope you can give me loads of useful advice over the next few months. We have just announced our wedding to family & friends but in the excitement I have kind of asked my 5 best friends to be bridesmaids as well as my god-daughter (flower girl). My dilemma is; is this too many? My H2B only has 2 close friends who will be best man & usher and I would like our sons (aged 12 & 7 by our wedding date) to also be ushers. Does this sound like it can work and if not what is my alternative?

Too many bridesmaids?

Hi! I've got 6 BM, 4 Flower Girls and 1 ring bearer. I was ok with it- but everyone else seems to be really shocked when they find out! I am hoping to get a good deal with the dresses tho! Any ideas really really apreciated! Some people have said that you should make sure that your dress is quite 'big' so that you stand out from your crowd of bridesmaids!x

Too many bridesmaids?

I have 6 bridesmaids and 2 flowergirls...I was originally worried that it is too many but hey it is your day so why not? It does add to the expense quite a bit if you let it though

Too many bridesmaids?

Have you considered having them in co-ordinating dresses rather than matching. You'd be able to pick up bargins in sales when there's only one size left. I'm making mine, (I've got four adult bridesmaids) if your in the south, fabric land is a good place to get some bargins, the fabric I'm using for mine is only 4.99 a metre and I'm using about 12m for all the dresses. I'm also getting the fabric for the mens waistcoats there and mums making those. It's saving us a fortune!

Too many bridesmaids?

Hiya I have got 6 bridesmaids and 5 pageboys. We managed to pick up the boys suits in the high street for £20 each for shirt trousers waistcoat and cravat. The bridesmaid dresses we have decided to make as when we were looking they were £110 each but can make the for £35 each big saving! I did notice though that there is a lady that offeres to make bridesmaid dresses for £50 each on ebay and she offered a money back guarantee so if you are not satisfied she will refund. I was considering this until my mum offered to make the dresses.
