Here at You & Your Wedding, we think brides should be able to shop for their dress whenever they want to – without having to take time off work or wait weeks for a Saturday appointment. That's why we've started a campaign to encourage more shops to open at bride-friendly hours!

More flexible shopping time would take the stress out of wedding planning for everyone – couples, shops and designers. It would mean brides could pop into shops after work for a quick browse and a chat with staff to get a flavour of what the shop offers. This would mean it'd be less crowded during those traditional shopping hours on a Saturday and lead to a more personal service.

The end result? Everyone would be more relaxed in the lead up to the big day and more of us would enjoy – rather than dread! – the wedding dress shopping experience. And, of course, shops that open during more bride-friendly hours will get more business from busy brides trying to squeeze work, rest and play in among hectic wedding planning.

So, if you want to shop after work or on a Sunday, click here to add your name to our petition.
