Waistcoats
The standard option with waistcoats is to hire them along with the rest of your outfit. There are endless colour options to choose from and normally the groom and his attendants wear matching waistcoats that complement the colour theme of the wedding. If you want something a bit special you can buy your own waistcoat or have one handmade to a pattern and in the fabric of your choice or with your names and wedding date embroidered on it.
Shoes
Don't pass up this opportunity to kit yourself out with a great pair of smart shoes - the bride shouldn't have all the fun when it comes to splashing out. If you're wearing morning dress it's traditional to wear shiny black leather shoes. If you're wearing a lounge suit you can choose whatever colour is most appropriate - black, brown, blue or even pink. A smart white suit with white leather shoes can look great - think Ashton Kutcher at his wedding to Demi Moore. Your attendants normally wear their own smart shoes, unless you want them to wear a specific style.
Ties
There are a number of different tie options: the standard tie, which can be tied in different ways, depending on the size of the knot you want; the cravat, which is normally worn with morningwear; and the bow tie, usually worn at more formal evening weddings, particularly if you opt for the black tie option. You can hire ties for the whole wedding party but as the groom you may want to splash out on an extra special one in a slightly different colour or pattern to make you stand out.
Cufflinks
Cufflinks are a great way to show a bit of personality and there is no end to the style options, from cufflinks with your wedding date engraved on them to cufflinks featuring a picture of your bride-to-be. If you love a particular football team or adore a game of golf your cufflinks are a subtle way to show this off. They also make great presents for your best man and the ushers.
Hats
Top hats are not as popular at modern weddings as they once were but if you want that super-smart look then they can't be beaten - you'll also be able to get that great classic shot of all the men in the wedding party throwing their hats in the air and cheering. They're widely available to hire for all the wedding party or you can blow the budget and treat yourself to your own hat from a specialist hat company.
