Marry in your church of choice
  • Marry in your church of choice

  • …as church marriage rules may get easier…

At the moment couples can only get married in an Anglican church if they attend it regularly or live within the parish.  But, a new law could allow you to get married anywhere you have lived for six months, or where their parents or grandparents were married.

The Church of England’s Parliamentary Ecclesiastical Committee has approved the amendments that now have to go through both Houses of Parliament and receive Royal Assent before becoming law.

The rules could change as soon as September 2008.
