T. LeClerc Loose Powder Travel Compact in Banane, £26

Why I love it...

For years T. LeClerc’s loose powder in Banane has been a cult product used by make-up artists backstage at catwalk shows to transform dull, lacklustre skin. The reason make-up artists swear by it is that it suits nearly all complexions and gives skin a radiance that lights up your face. And it’s the ideal powder for wedding photos because it banishes shadows and kills unflattering shine but still lets skin glow.

The one problem is that loose powders, great as they are, are a bit of a pain to take anywhere. They spill, they end up all over everything else you pack with them, they’re just not really very practical. So it’s great news that the company have just launched a travel version which combines all the flaw-erasing powers of a loose powder with the portability of a compact. (I know, you’d think someone would have thought of this earlier).

Take it on your honeymoon and all you’ll need is this, a touch of blusher or bronzer and a sweep of mascara. You’ll be ready in minutes and your new husband won’t believe his luck in bagging someone so low-maintenance and yet utterly gorgeous.
