Hi Everyone

Since receiving the call from Russell (Blackburn Couture) about my dress being in I have not stopped thinking about it. I had a bit of a panic (bridezilla) and started to worry about the colour as I couldn’t remember exactly what it was like. So I called the shop and was lucky enough to pop in on Saturday morning.

I was so excited, to see my actual dress hanging in front of me – it was so perfect and beautiful I nearly cried! It was exactly how I remembered it and I was so happy and cannot wait to try it on in a few weeks at my fitting.

We finally found the bridesmaids shoes – hooray! After weeks of debating the colour and style and searching every shoe website– we found a pair in Barratts. They are perfect, a simple peep toe with a bow on the back in cream – and a bargain at £22. All what’s left to do now is visit the Bead Shop as Laura is going to make their bracelets and earrings.

I had my make-up trial at Chanel in House of Fraser and it was a huge success. I was slightly nervous at first as I do not wear much make up and didn’t want to look too plastered! But, the make-up artist Andrea did a fantastic job.

I took a sample of the fabric of my dress with some pictures of bridal make-up that I liked and discussed it with Andrea. We had a chat about the type of wedding I was having, the time of day we are getting married and I felt she really listened to what I wanted. She showed me some colours and she started to apply the makeup. The good thing was as each stage I looked in the mirror and she checked that I was happy with it.

Lucky for me I had the girls with me otherwise I’m sure she would have sold me everything and the make-up is quite expensive. It is worth it I think as you only get married once but even so, it’s a big expense. One thing I did do was just buy my eye and lip colours and my base, as things like mascara and eyeliner you can get from anywhere so I saved myself a bit of money.

I also chose my wedding fragrance so I will get that at the airport at the end of May when I am off to Spain for a long weekend.

We have another wedding catch up this week when I give Luke his next list of to dos and we are going to try the battle of the wedding play-lists!

We also sent out our invitations this week so hopefully everyone will like the design and the menu’s we have chosen!

Sara xxx
