Hi
We have had a busy week this week with Luke’s stag do, and me rushing round like a mad woman trying to sort out the last few bits and pieces. Luke is going to tell you about the stag then I will tell you what I have been up to.
Finally you get to hear from the groom, but only this week because I had one of my stag do’s this weekend. It started early on Saturday morning in the local greasy spoon, the Tuck Inn (the name says it all really!).
About 25 of us all met early to line our stomachs ready for a day of very heavy drinking. We then headed to the local paint balling ground where we met the rest of the lads for a morning of paint balling combat.
We started at 9am, had an induction and sorted the teams out and all got kitted out in our protective clothing – if you can call it that. I was the captain of one team and my best man (Tom Hill) was the other captain and may I say how good I was in my role or maybe I just had a good team as we won 5 games to 1!
My prize for winning and also being the stag was to harnessed to a zip line and half way down the line were 25 of my so called friends waiting to attack me.
They used all their saved paint, which I did not know and had to shoot at me as I went down the line. I have never been in so much pain, it was one of the worst experiences of my life and I am covered in painful bruises. After the pain came the reward of drinking down the local pub to watch the FA Cup final.
After an afternoon of football and drinking, and lots of lovely food laid on by our favourite landlady, Ann Marie, it was home to give Sara a quick kiss have a shower then off to Maidstone for a night of clubbing.
We drank ourselves silly with an endless supply of champagne, and lots of dodgy dancing! The night came to an end at 3:30am. Tom and I went home to find my lovely wife-to-be with pizza for us, as I always have the munchies after a drink. (That’s why I am marrying her!) So Stag Do Part 1 is over and looking forward to my joint stag weekend with best Man Tom to Magaluf in a few weeks!
Back to Sara...
Whilst Luke was getting covered in paint on Saturday I had a girlie weekend with my Nan and bridesmaid Charlotte. I took the plunge this week and purchased my hair ready for my hair trial in a few weeks. It actually looks a lot better than I thought. The lady in the shop was really helpful and we colour matched the piece to my hair and it only cost £30.
I think it’s much cheaper than hair extensions and better as I can just take the hair out afterwards. I didn’t want to glue the hair in as that would mean, not getting my hair wet, which would be tricky bearing in mind we are in Spain. I just need to figure out how to actually attach the clips to the hair then it will be fine – wish me luck.
I also found a lovely bikini this week in M&S to wear on the day of the wedding. It's white with a diamante stone in the centre and a matching crinkle skirt. I was going to buy one of the just married embroidered bikinis but the one I found was £90 so I soon changed my mind!
I am off to Spain this weekend with my mother-in-law-to-be Sally and bridesmaid Charlotte, and my 6 month-old niece Francesca for a long weekend. We are staying with Luke’s aunty and uncle at their villa in Alicante. The plan for me is to relax, enjoy the sunshine and drink lots of sangria
Have a good week
