  • Every week, find out what Sara's been up to as she plans her July wedding in Spain

Hi Everyone

You will be pleased to know that Charlotte’s bridesmaids shoes have arrived and they fit thankfully! What a worry that was, but worth it as they look beautiful with the girl’s dresses.

We had a busy weekend shopping for some jewels to add a bit more glitz to the bridesmaid dresses. We found a hairband in Primark with a pearl and diamanté brooch on, which is perfect - so we have pulled it off the clip to make brooches on the dresses.

We took the dresses to our seamstress, Margaret to sew onto the shoulders of the dresses and they look so much nicer. Laura is going bead shopping this week so she can start making the girls’ earrings and bracelets, which is very exciting.  She also has my hair comb too so she can make my earrings. So that’s the bride’s party all organised!

I also had my final hen do this weekend, which I must say was much tamer than the last one! We went for a meal at out local restaurant Mr Topes in Rochester. My 3 bridesmaids came, with my Nan, cousin and aunty and also my sister-in-laws, and Nan’s on Luke’s side of the family and my mother in law Sally.

I had another round of Mr and Mrs questions, my prizes were essentials for a wedding abroad. As you can see in the picture above, one of the prizes was a pair of his and hers sunglasses, which I know Luke is going to love wearing. I was thoroughly spoilt again with lots of lovely gifts from all my family.

Laura  decorated a bikini for me with jewels, so I now have a personalised Mrs G bikini for the big day.

After the lunch was over, myself Laura and Charlotte decided to carry on the party and sent the afternoon and evening drinking and ended up out dancing until late!

So with less than 3 weeks to go I am starting to get the butterflies in my tummy already! I honestly thought I would be quite calm about the wedding as everything is organised – guess again! Especially now as my hen nights are over, the next time I will be with everyone will be at the wedding, which seems so surreal. The time really has just flown by, especially the last 2 months.

Sunday evening Luke and I sat down and began the battle of compiling the playlist, which is a huge relief – it was much easier than I thought.  To make it easier I emailed everyone who is coming to Spain and asked them to give us a list of songs to guarantee them having a boogie! Just to be on the safe side, I am going to copy the play lists onto a few people’s ipods in case mine goes wrong!

I emailed our photographer Ryan, our must-have shots that we would like taken. Although, we would just like more reportage shots we both decided to have a few formal ones too.  Hopefully the list will not scare him too much! The photography is such an important thing to me especially as I work in photography, but I know Ryan is going to do an amazing job.

We also had a phone conversation with our minister Elaine Walker this week. We had previously just spoken to her via email so it was nice to actually speak to her. She sounded very friendly and calm and said lots of things to reassure me as I am getting quite nervous about my vows.

As you know Luke and I are writing our own vows so neither of us know each other’s. I have been trying really hard to memorise them but keep worrying that I will forget them on the day. But, she reassured me that she is going to have a copy of them for us both to read from.

Luke is off to Majorca this week for his joint stag do with his best man Tom. So I will be keeping myself very busy this weekend with my hair trial and I am going to practice my make-up too!  And of course go and see the new Sex and the City film. So there is not really too much left to do now except enjoy the run up to the big day!

See you next week
