Hi Everyone
Oh my god I am flying out to Spain this Monday to get married – aaaghhh! I cannot believe how quickly the time has flown we are both so excited. After all the planning and all the stress I feel like the happiest girl alive. We have got to the point this week when everything is arranged and we are just enjoying our last week as fiancé and fiancée!
We have got a pretty tight schedule this week just finalising the last few details. We have a girly evening planned tonight practicing our hairstyles with my bridesmaids and Laura will be doing my hair. Tomorrow, I am meeting up with my YYW old work colleagues and our photographer Ryan to have a quick drink and collect all our order or services and menus.
I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again as it’s been ages! I am off to pick my dress up on Thursday night from Blackburn Bridal, and have a final fitting hopefully it should fit as my measurements are still the same. I am going to store my dress at my Nan’s house as its a bit risky leaving it at our house with prying eyes.
Finally, at the weekend its time for lots of pampering with my haircut and colour and facial, pedicure and manicure! Ready to be a blushing bride!
We have got our registry office legal ceremony next Monday, with Luke’s parents and our two Nan’s Doris and Hermia, as our witnesses. To be honest we have played down this part of the wedding as to Luke and I it's just the legal paperwork. I know by law it’s our actual wedding day but our wedding in Spain will be our anniversary.
But, I have a feeling on the day there may be a tear or two when we say our vows. We will have a quick glass of champers at the airport. My parents are planning in meeting us at the airport in Spain, then off to dinner to celebrate.
We’re checking into the Hacienda on Tuesday morning where we will have a few days to relax before all our guests arrive for the wedding that weekend. We are having a bbq on Friday evening then our ceremony will be at 6pm on Saturday followed by a dinner (see picture above) and the party all night. The good thing is there is no time limit so our party can go on as long as we like so who know what time we will finish off!!
Most of the wedding party are leaving the venue on Sunday lunchtime but a few people are staying for the extra night. Luke and I then have another day on our own then fly back home in preparation for our big party back in England on Saturday night!
The numbers have now crept up to 180! So we are stretching out our wedding celebrations for as long as possible.
The next time you will hear from me I will be Mrs Godden and will share some pictures of our wedding in Spain and of course our party
Lots of Love
A very excited bride to be Sara
