Live acts
Are you hosting an Asian style wedding and looking for a form of entertainment that is a little different? If so had you thought about providing your guests with a belly-dancing act? Ruby Chaudhri (020 8568 5157, www.indiadances.com) can provide your guests with sultry entertainment in the form of belly dancing and if you are willing to have a go at it yourself, then Aylin Hansen (07766 446 008, www.rakkase.co.uk) is your girl, as she organises hen nights or tuition for you bride and friends who want to learn the moves.

Discos
The word ‘disco' does not need to be synonymous with cheese. There is talent out there in the form of DJs. They can play any type of music, from modern pop, dance and house, even swing. Make sure you have a chat with them and discuss what you think will suit your guests. It is also useful to get them to supply you with a sample song list prior to the night.

Classical
Looking to add a touch of sophistication at your wedding? Get a classical act to bring in a special atmosphere. You will get to choose from harpists, choirs, quartets, pianists, harpists and even opera acts. Depending on the way your evening is scheduled and the style of your celebration, get them to play during your canapé reception, during your sit-down meal or at the evening reception party.
