Hello all,
It’s been another hectic week!
As you all know, aspects of our wedding were voted on by Heart 106 listeners. All of the voting has now taken place, and we know what bridesmaid dresses, flowers, cake and groom’s suits we’re having. I have to say the listeners have very good taste because they’re all lovely!
I did have a bit of a nightmare with the bridesmaid dresses though… both of my bridesmaids live at opposite ends of the country, so when I ordered the dresses I had to get them to send their measurements to me and then choose what size dresses to order from these measurements. I then had to post the dresses out to the girls and hope for the best….
Thankfully the dresses got to them in one piece, but when they tried them on they were both massive, which isn’t ideal when the dress is strapless!! I then spent a whole afternoon calling up dress alteration places in Surrey and Yorkshire to see if I could get them altered. Thankfully it’s all sorted now, but for a while there I thought my bridesmaids were going to be safety-pinned into their dresses on the day!
This week I also had my hair consultation. On the day of the wedding I will have a hairdresser from Aveda at the hotel for myself and my bridesmaids (I’m very lucky I know!), which is perfect as I think a hairstyle can make or break the look of a wedding dress. I have opted for quite a traditional hairstyle, and I’m very pleased with the overall look - I’m not going to give too much away though, I don’t want Tim knowing anything about my look for the day!
I’ve also spent a lot of the week working and doing DIY on the house, we’ve got lots of Tim’s family from New Zealand coming over and I don’t want them thinking we live in a messy home. Although I’m sure they’ll be so blown away by the extravagant wedding that they won’t notice the house!
Just over two weeks to go….now where did I put that draft table plan?!!!
