The big day is this Saturday…ahhh!!!
I can’t believe how quickly the last 7 weeks have gone. After the shock and celebration of winning the Heart 106 Perfect Wedding, I have spent the last 7 weeks in a whirlwind!!
On Friday night I had a well earned break and had my hen party – which every girl looks forward to until it’s actually looming! My girlfriends were all very lovely and didn’t organise anything too raucous. We decided to make it a bit of an event and went to a spa for the day and then out for a meal and a few drinks in the evening.
We chose to go to Ragdale Hall for the day as I’ve heard so many good things about it, and it really didn’t disappoint. We each had two treatments and then spent the afternoon relaxing in the Jacuzzi, after all of the wedding stuff I’ve been doing lately, it was a perfect afternoon.
In the evening we went to a lovely restaurant in Leicester called Fat Cats and stuffed ourselves silly! There were 13 of us there and it was so much fun, I think we worked out that we’d nearly had a bottle of wine each through the course of the evening!! We then went to some bars around Leicester and stayed the night at a hotel in town. It was such a treat.
I would recommend spending your last night out as a free woman with a big group of girls, especially if they arrange such a great night – luckily there wasn’t a stripper in sight!!
The wedding itself is this Saturday and (fingers crossed) everything is planned. Just need to look forward to the day now.
Winning the wedding has been an amazing experience and I truly feel like the luckiest girl alive. I am so happy with all aspects of the wedding, from the dress to the cake, everything is perfect. My advice to anyone who thinks about applying to win a wedding would be DO IT!!
