Emma and Yiannakis – everyone calls him John – met when they were just 11 years old in the school playground. 'For me it was love at first sight but John took a bit of convincing!' says Emma. 'After we left school he moved on but in December 2004 we bumped into each other in a local pub and the rest is history - it was worth the wait!'
John proposed on the couple’s first year anniversary while they were staying at the Waldorf hotel in London. 'We went out for dinner and he popped the question,' says Emma. 'I cried for about an hour until he suggested that I should stop as everyone was looking and they probably thought he’d just dumped me!'
