The couple Hannah had been married before so finding an Anglican church in London that would allow the couple to marry proved impossible. Instead they decided to have a civil ceremony the week before Christmas at Chelsea Register Office, which is close to the couple’s home, followed by a blessing the same day at nearby St Mary’s The Bolton church. “Although neither of us is particularly religious, it was important that our marriage was blessed by God,” says Hannah. For the register office ceremony Hannah wore a 1950s-style cocktail dress with a vintage mink stole and a pair of Christian Louboutin heels.
