The Couple
Karen and Jay met in June 2003 while holidaying in Puerto Banus, Marbella. Karen’s group of friends were staying in an apartment upstairs from Jay and his mates. Romance blossomed when by chance they bumped in to each other on a night out in London afterwards. Fate was trying to tell them something, so they took the hint and got together.
Another romantic overseas setting was the location for their engagement. In January 2006 Karen and Jay had travelled to Barbados to share a friend’s 40th birthday. 'We were dining alone at The Cliff restaurant and I had a feeling that something was going on,' says Karen. 'Then he asked me to marry him – I said "Yes!" and burst into tears!'
