Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire

Eastnor Castle is one of few stately homes to allow dogs into its grounds and house. As long as pets are kept on a lead they are welcome to wander with guests. Dog-owners are also given a free Eastnor Castle Poop-a-Scoopa on arrival and the castle has its own ‘Doggy Mascot’ called Lomu.

Eastnor is a dramatic, fairytale castle situated in a 5000-acre estate in the Malvern Hills, surrounded by a lake, deer park and arboretum, with magnificent views of the Herefordshire countryside.

Shieldhill Castle, Lanarkshire, Scotland

Shieldhill Castle (0845 2501557) welcomes guests with pets at no extra charge. The castle is ideally set in landscaped gardens in the Upper Clyde Valley, South of Scotland, and is a beautiful privately owned luxurious retreat. Each of the 26 bedrooms are beautifully decorated, some featuring four poster beds and Jacuzzi baths.

Guests are welcome to bring their dogs to stay in their rooms and dog beds are provided, though there is a charge of £25 per dog per night. Swinton Park is the ancestral home of the Cunliffe-Lister family and is set in 200 acres of parkland, lakes and gardens: perfect for energetic pets!

The castle is surrounded by the family estate in which guests have access to rivers, reservoirs, moorland, dales and the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.

Lancaster House Hotel, Lancaster

Lancaster House Hotel, with its impressive refined decor and beautiful landscaped grounds and courtyards, is a beautiful location for a wedding and a great place to bring pets. The hotel is proud of its ‘pets welcome’ policy and guests have been bringing their pets to the hotel for many years. Owners are required to pay a small charge of £25, for up to 2 dogs, per stay for a maximum of four nights.
