We reveal the beautiful wedding venue in this week's Sherlock...

We all love Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock, but where was Dr Watson's wedding held?

Earlier this week we jumped for joy when we saw the latest episode of Sherlock set almost entirely at a wedding. If it’s still on your catch-up list, don’t worry, we won’t be revealing any spoilers - but just where was that beautiful wedding venue?

It was in Goldney Hall, part of the University of Bristol. And the good news? You can host your wedding here too!

Dr Watson’s W-day didn’t exactly run to plan, but we couldn’t keep our eyes off the bright and airy reception space, and lush gardens complete with ornamental pond and a vintage fountain.

If the fresh yellow colour scheme of Watson’s wedding caught your eye, Aynhoe Park in Oxfordshire is another vibrant venue filled with eccentric surprises – giraffe in a top hat anyone?

If your new year's resolution is to finally book that dream wedding venue, head over to youandyourwedding.co.uk/venues pronto. From rustic barns to sophisticated city members’ clubs, you can explore and intelligently search through hundreds of venues. So why not start looking for The One today…?

Missed Sherlock this week? It's still available on BBC iPlayer.
