Abbey Clancy Becomes Mrs Crouch...
Abbey Clancy wed her Tottenham Hotspurs striker yesterday in a wag-tastic ceremony at the four-star Stapleford Park hotel.
Abbey Clancy yesterday became Abbey Crouch when she wed her Tottenham Hotspurs husband, the towering 67 Peter Crouch, at the Church of St Mary Magdalene, in the grounds of a luxury country hotel, Stapleford Park.
Abbey accentuated her curves in a bespoke creation by Giles Deacon, with a strapless, long-line lace bodice that fanned into an oversized fishtail skirt that gave way to a beautiful ripple-effect, rough cut train. She chose to accessorise the dramatic dress with a simple posy of white roses, some diamond drop earrings, and of course, that £200,000 diamond ring maybe not so simple, after all. The only WAG touches? Those vampy red nails and smoky eye make-up, probably better suited to a wild night out than a conservative country wedding.
The couple looked beaming despite their rocky six-year relationship (drug allegations on her part, accusations of adultery with prostitutes on his). Perhaps it was partially because the couples three-month-old daughter, Sophia, was in attendance at the ceremony, as well as both pairs of now in-laws and the couples siblings. Or perhaps it was because of the service's sensational, show-stopping touches - reportedly trained falcons even swooped in to present the wedding rings!
The 150 guests then went on to enjoy the reception at the hotels restaurant, the Orangery, complete with a lavish meal and endless entertainment. Though the line up was rumoured to have consisted of a live band, a magician and karaoke, were sure guests were most excited to see Peter perform his signature move, the Robot far more entertaining than any trained falcon.
