"We opted to hold our wedding in June because it's not too hot a month and there is always a gentle breeze," explains Bella. The couple did the legal part in London, so at their outdoor ceremony in Greece, a close friend performed the blessing.The decorated the aisle with white benches, wooden decking and rustic olive trees. The destination wedding "We wanted to see our guests for longer than one day, so we held a three day party so we could spend quality time with them," explains Bella."On day one we had a greek dancing and plate smashing party, on day two it was our wedding ceremony followed by dinner and dancing, and on the final day we held an all-day pool party with bloody Mary's and live music." Planning a destination wedding Planning a destination wedding can be a daunting task, but it's all about the preparation, as Bella points out."We provided our guests with lots of information early on, to avoid too many logistical nightmares.""Give guests as much information as possible on accommodation and the dress code for weddings abroad." The natural colour scheme In keeping with the sensational surroundings, Bella and Ben went for natural and organic shades, including green and purple, decorating their tables with canvas material and rustic flowers. The reception decor Bella and Ben's reception was held in a simple yet elegant marquee, decorated with over 100 trees and plants, creating a secret garden look. The wedding style "Our wedding was a three day party, with great music, delicious food and drink and lots of dancing," says Bella. "Ben and I love socialising with our friends, and we love good wine and food and this was all reflected in our wedding." The unique table plan "The names were held up by wooden pegs, clipped to string, for guests to take as they entered the marquee," explains Bella.READ MORE: 32 Unique Name Card Ideas for your Wedding The flowers A local florist created the floral displays for the day, using herbs, lavender, peonies and eucalyptus to tie in with the green and purple muted tones of the day. It was made from ivory satin, with a low back and a dropped waist. "It was simple, elegant and fitted well," says Bella. Destination wedding advice "The chances are you chose the location abroad because of the natural beauty and charm, so keep the decorations simple so it can shine through on the day," suggests Bella.
