This bride asked for her wedding dress to be made from her mother’s hair…

Maybe this is taking “something old” a bit too far

Finding sentimental ways to remember lost loved ones is a important factor for many brides when they’re planning their wedding, and one bride-to-be came up with a very unique way to remember her mother, who had sadly passed away.

The bride in question posted on fashion manufacturing website Sewport, stating that she’s looking for a designer wiling to create a wedding dress for her, using her dead mother’s hair sewn into the sleeves and hem, for an alternative wedding dress style

She said she started collecting her mum’s hair for four years prior to her death in August.

The Bristol-based bride-to-be wrote: “I’m looking for someone to recreate my mother’s wedding dress from 1953, which she wore when she married my father. My mother passed away recently and I’d like to create a special memento of her life.”

While this is certainly an unusual request, if it helps the bride to feel close to her mother on her wedding day, that's all that matters!
