I had my heart set on a venue with character, and Vaulty Manor fitted the bill, says Hannah. Guests arrived at the venue after photographs in the churchs grounds, and were greeted with champagne, canapés and a pianist playing background music.
Dinner was a starter of prawn and crab gateau or sautéed mushrooms, a main course of either shank of lamb or stuffed peppers, followed by a dessert of vanilla cheesecake. Huge martini glasses with pink peonies and roses flowing out of them, and butterflies and fairy lights on the stems decorated each table. They were great as the thin stems meant people could see and speak to each other, says Hannah. Our florist, Jades Flower Design, understood that I wanted soft, tumbling arrangements and she created exactly what I wanted.
Tables were also scattered with rose petals and crystals, with butterfly-themed placecards, and favours were cupcakes with H&N on them, as well as a donation in the name of their wedding to Cancer Research.
