“We met on the same course at Sheffield Hallam University where Billy was always making me laugh,” says Alex. “And as a student he was so stylish – renowned for his middle parting and retro leather jacket!” The couple were together for ten years before Billy proposed on Christmas Day 2008 and the date was set for 1st May 2011, where the extra royal wedding bank holiday came in very useful to turn the celebration into a full-on house party.
