Fifties styling and a quintessential country venue were the ideal mix for Carolyn and Alex
"I liked Alex right from the start: he's a true gentleman and knows how to make me laugh," says Carolyn, who first met her beau at a work function. After two years of dating and a proposal in a luxe hotel with the Hong Kong skyline as a backdrop, the couple started creating their summer wedding.

Table decorations included ribbon-adorned pitchers of meadow flowers such as peonies, hydrangeas, freesias, gypsophila and sweetpeas. The couple sourced wooden numbers from Ebay and painted them yellow to match the bright flowers.
Tempting chocolate treats in mini buckets added a personal touch to the tables. "Before I met Alex, I spent a year studying in Italy, so I wanted to incorporate an Italian detail into our day," explains Carolyn. "I sourced zinc pales online and filled them with Baci chocolates which sat on our tables in place of petit fours."
