1950s inspiration met contemporary styling at Jennie and James’ city bash
“I love that our florist described our colour scheme as a riot of technicolour,” says Jennie of their party palette, which featured super-saturated crayon hues and washes of purple. She and James combined Fifties-era charm with classic Italian touches for a unique theme and sense of fun.

“I wore nude patent-leather wedges with a herringbone tape bow on the back,” Jennie says. “The backs were also covered in Swarovski crystals.”

“We wanted the wedding to be lively and quirky, just like us!” Jennie explains. Unique touches like these bride and groom airwalkers (translation: balloons that hover around) helped achieve that effect. “These were placed on our seats at dinner so they were there when the guests arrived before James and I entered the room.”

“We placed bowls of wedding-themed badges in the loos for guests to pick up,” Jennie says. “They had sayings like ‘A nice day for a white wedding’ and ‘I’m next’, and by the end of the evening, everyone was wearing at least one!”
