Hana and Anders held their wedding ceremony at St John the Baptist Church, in Llanrothal.

"We discovered the venue for our ceremony whilst out walking our dog in the fields next to my parents’ house," says Hana.

"Set in miles of open fields, usually filled each year with wheat or corn, the isolated little 12th century white church is sheltered by the yield. We chose handfuls of dried wheat, a larkspur wreath and a dozen posies to transform what is otherwise an empty shell year-round. Pillar and homemade candle jars were also dotted around the nooks."

READ MORE: The Y&YW guide to Church of England weddings
The reception venue
Following their church wedding ceremony, Hana and Anders held their reception at Dewsall Court in Herefordshire.

"We went to see several venues in person and searched through many more before coming across Dewsall Court and just had a ‘feeling’," says Anders.

"We were able to squeeze in a visit before going away for a few days and as soon as we drove through the gates, we just knew it was the place."

"We were looking for something that was beautiful but not overstated or stuffy. It was relaxed, peaceful and that echoed the natural countryside feel that our ceremony had. On the way in, there were toadstool pillars made from stone with rabbits hopping between them. Beyond that, you could see the lake and a field full of corn and a beautiful old house sitting in the shadow of a summer’s day."
The reception decor
"We built the rest of the wedding around our ceremony venue and did many things ourselves," says Anders.

"I hand-drew the invitations, including a storybook map with forest creatures and the wedding venues, along with the menus and orders of service. Our wedding favours were made by Honeywell Bakes, in the shape of acorns and Dala Horses, which we packed ourselves with with Swedish words attached, to link to the roots of our family who travelled from a far for the day."

"We dressed hops from a local Herefordshire farm along the wooden beams of Dewsall’s Wainhouse."
"We chose pictures of couples from the family that had married through the years, some who could no longer be with us, and used these within the table plan," says Hana.

READ MORE: Best ways to remember lost loved ones at your wedding
The abundance of glittering candles gave Hana and Anders' wedding a dreamy quality, and perfectly complemented the reindeer moss that was trickled along the centre of the tables.

READ MORE: Lovely ideas for your wedding table decorations and centre piece
The natural theme
Hana and Anders' wedding was totally natural and animal friendly; they had seeds as their confetti, and their wedding breakfast was entirely vegan or vegetarian.
The wedding cake
Hana and Anders' lovely four tier wedding cake was designed by a friend, and featured green leaves and harestail harvest sprigs for a truly rustic feel that was right at home at their woodland styled wedding.
The wedding outfits
Hana's elegant lace wedding dress was a bespoke creation by Annasul Y, and perfectly suited the whole vibe of their wedding day.

Anders' suit also fitted in with the theme, opting for a subtly checked jacket. complemented by a place blue shirt and a dark tie.

READ MORE: Charming rustic wedding suits for the groom
