Kerry and Garry met through a mutual friend, before embarking on a relationship together.

For the proposal, Garry whisked Kerry away to Paris for a surprise weekend in the french capital.

"When we got to the departure gate and the sign said 'Paris' I knew something special was going to happen," says Kerry.

"After dinner and cocktails we walked over to the Pont Des Arts bridge, and at midnight, just as the Eiffel Tower was illuminated with the dazzling light display, Garry got down on one knee."

READ MORE: Chic ideas for a Parisian themed wedding
The Devon wedding venue
Kerry and Garry held their wedding at Castle Hill Devon, choosing the venue because they wanted to have a church style set-up, with seated guests and an aisle, without the formality of a church.

"The house itself was absolutely stunning, and after seeing it we asked ourselves 'how could we not get married here?'" says Kerry.
The Ian Stuart wedding dress
Kerry wore an Ian Stuart wedding dress, purchased from Ava Rose Hamilton Bridal Boutique.

The gorgeous gown was a simple ivory princess gown, with a portrait neckline.

Kerry accessorised the look with a vintage pearl necklace, matching bracelet and diamond earrings.
The bridesmaids' and maid of honour's dresses
Kerry's five little bridesmaids all wore dresses from the M&S bridal collection, while her maid of honour wore a gorgeous yellow dress from Monsoon.

The wedding colours were sunshine yellow and navy blue, so the cheery number fitted right in.

READ MORE: Yellow Bridesmaid Dresses for your Leading Ladies
The floral arrangements
The yellow and white floral displays created a lovely bright and sunny feel to the wedding, using a mix of white peonies, roses, daisies, yellow rose buds and gypsophila.

READ MORE: 29 pretty summer bouquet ideas
Hanging flower displays
Kerry and Garry chose to adorn the lights in their venue with stunning hanging floral displays, creating a gorgeously dramatic look.
The reception decor
White table cloths and a neutral decor scheme left the sunny yellow flowers to do the talking - we love this look!

READ MORE: 25 interesting ways to dress up your tables
The table decorations
Kerry and Garry chose to keep their table decorations low, so as not to compete with the glorious hanging decorations, but that's not to say the table decorations weren't eye-catching too.

READ MORE: Best summer wedding flowers
The table plan
To create their charming table plan, Kerry and Garry recycled a vintage leather luggage trunk and hung luggage tags with guest’s names written on.

"On the right hand side of the trunk we designed an poster which said ‘where in the world are you sitting?’ and also listed who was in the bridal party," explains Kerry.

READ MORE: How to create a wedding table plan
The order of the day
Kerry and Garry's order of the day was unique too, as it was printed onto fans, detailing the schedule for the day, complete with cute illustrations to coincide.
The wedding cake
The wedding cake was classically beautiful; created by a family friend, it was three tiers tall with ivory icing and looked flawless surrounded by the bright blooms.

READ MORE: How to choose your wedding cake flavour
The wedding day weather
"The weather on our wedding day was touch and go," says Kerry.

"We had brief downpour of rain in the morning, which was a concern given that 70% of the day was planned for outside, but thankfully it soon cleared up. The day wasn’t overly sunny but it was warm and we did have incredible light."

READ MORE: How to survive a rainy wedding day
Advice for wedding planing
"It’s your day so make sure you prioritise you and your future husband," advises Kerry.

"Share ideas and get talking to the professionals, look for inspiration on Pinterest - this was an invaluable tool for me. I really wanted to create a once in a lifetime day of celebrations for me and Garry, for which we did."
