Real wedding: A tipi wedding with a rustic theme and a gorgeous Rebecca Ingram dress
Mat and his groomsmen embraced the rustic theme too, with dapper suits, while Suzanne went for all out glamour in her wedding dress with the most beautiful back detailing.
Rather than a traditional sit-down meal, Suzanne and Mat opted for BBQ platters of garlic chicken, pulled pork, stuffed peppers and macaroni cheese, which went down a storm with the guests.

The tipi wedding venue
Suzanne and Mat held their wedding ceremony at their local village church near where they grew up, followed by a reception at Inkersall Grange Farm, where they hosted their guests in an incredible tipi.

"We looked at stately home venues, barn wedding venues and marquee wedding venues, but nothing really suited us," explains Suzanne.

"We wanted something relaxed but beautiful, and we eventually found Inkersall Grange Farm. It was nearby but had a wonderful secluded feel, it was surrounded by fields with a quaint log cabin and a couple of ponies, which added to the rustic feel. We booked it before even going to see it, we knew it was the place for us."
Rustic wedding signs
Inspired by their tipi wedding venue, Suzanne and Mat went for a rustic country feel for their day, with a hessian, blush pink and grey scheme.

READ MORE: Fun Wedding Signs for Your Big Day
The rustic wedding decor
"Our table centrepieces were made up of log slices which Mat's friend provided, with jars of flowers, floating candles and little easels with photos of us throughout our relationship on, with little wooden hearts scattered," says Suzanne.

"Our flower jars were decorated with hessian and wooden hearts by myself and I’d decorated our candle jars with twine bows."

READ MORE: Wedding table decorations and centre pieces: 25 interesting ways to dress up your tables

Unusual wedding food ideas
“We didn’t want the usual sit down meal, but we did want the formality of sitting down to eat and hear speeches. So we had BBQ platter brought to the table by BBQ caterers Smokin’ Blues were incredible I never expected so many compliments on the food!" explains Suzanne.

“Rather than regular puddings we had Tilly's Ice Cream Van come and everyone enjoyed ice creams in the sunshine."

READ MORE: 13 Amazingly Unusual Wedding Food Ideas
The most memorable moment
"My dad is disabled and usually uses two sticks but on the day as we walked into the entrance of the church he put down one of his sticks, and held me so proudly down the aisle," reminisces Suzanne.

"My dad's speech was also really special. It was short but incredibly sweet, he’s not usually a soppy person so it was lovely to hear how proud he was and having an illness which almost paralysed him from top to bottom I couldn’t have been prouder to watch him stand in front of our loved ones and speak so wonderfully."
Advice for other couples
"There is no drama worth worrying about, it will all come together, don’t worry!" says Suzanne.

"I had panic attacks leading up to the wedding, but on the day I was the calmest person there. I was so happy to be marrying the man of my dreams that nothing mattered apart from getting up the aisle and saying I do!"
