Liz, a pharmacist, and Simon, a sales manager met in Leeds in 1995. During a trip to Mexico, Simon planned to propose during a romantic meal but unfortunately Liz began to feel ill before he could pop the question.

A few weeks later, when the couple were walking in the Peak District, Simon proposed at Monsal Head. \'Even though it was raining and I was wearing an anorak, it was still romantic,\' says Liz.

LIz\'s dress was a Sharon Cunningham design (www.sharoncunningham.com), of silk crepe covered in French Chantilly lace. She bought her gown from Liz Corker Bride (www.lizcorkerbride.com), in Leicester and thoroughly recommended the shop run by two young girls saying, ‘it was a refreshing change from the fusty old shops I\'d been to and the service was absolutely second to none.\'

Liz\'s flowergirl was her cousin\'s daughter Megan and she wore a dress from Monsoon (www.monsoon.co.uk), which her mum altered with a pink silk sash. It was a fitting choice, since Liz had been her cousin\'s bridesmaid when she married.

Dylan Haworth, Simon\'s best friend since university days, was his best man. The groom wore Armani whilst Dylan wore Yves Saint Laurent.

LIz and Simon were married at St James\' church, Chipping Campden, in a ceremony led by a very laid back vicar, who maintained the relaxed style of the day. The striking Norman church provided a stunning background for the couple\'s vows.

Sadly Liz\'s father passed away in 1994 so her brother David walked her down the aisle and gave her away to Simon.

With picturesque houses made from Cotswold stone, Chipping Campden provided a perfect backdrop for the couple\'s English wedding. Liz and Simon chose Cotswold House (www.cotswoldhouse.com) for the combination of idyllic country location with contemporary design and luxury.
\r\n\r\n
They particularly loved the recently-redesigned gardens and fantastic sculptures which added a whimsical and magical element to the their day.

Since the church and venue had such a country feel to them, Liz wanted this to be reflected in her flowers. She also wanted to give a natural impression that they had been freshly collected from the garden, and chose pink and cream Illusion roses, peonies and ivy to give a vintage look.
\r\n\r\n
The couple\'s flower arrangements were done by Sarah Horne Flowers in Leamington Spa (www.hotflowers.co.uk) who was awarded the coveted gold award for excellence in 2006\'s Flower Shop of the Year.
