Top designer David Fielden was on hand with his latest collection to offer hot bridal advice: Colour is cool at the moment. [My] English country garden collection is faded in colour but not twee. I really like the combination of washed-out silver and white; it looks fresh and new. Also, a big trend were seeing at the moment is the cover-up, so high necklines are a must.
Take-home tip : Be inspired by our summer real weddings; the perfect English Country Garden inspiration!
With the dress sorted, we moved on to Aruna Seths new collection of bridal shoes. We fell in love with the Josie; a demure, elegant closed-toe pump with a beautiful crystallised bow on the front.
Take-home tip: Match your shoe colour to your ceremony; Aruna Seths Josie collection comes in fuchsia, royal blue and Tiffany blue. Check out more bridal-shoe inspiration in our new-season round-up.
Next stop: bridal hair and make-up. We caught up with the girls at beautycall.co.uk, who explained that this seasons hottest looks are inspired by glamorous vintage Forties and Fifties hairstyles. Think sleek and polished, like burlesque temptress Dita Von Teese, and work that porcelain, flawless make-up look effortlessly.
Take-home tip: If youve gone all-out on the dress, ditch the veil and keep it simple with a cute crystal headpiece instead. That way youll really be able to show off your new vintage hair and make-up.
