Wedding flowers for autumn

In contrast to the bright colours of summer, autumn’s palette is considerably more mellow. Golden yellow, orange and deep red are all popular for flowers.

Berries, foliage, twigs, in fact almost anything natural, works well for table centrepieces, together with lots of candles. Exotic flowers such as orchids and birds of paradise give contemporary autumn weddings a touch of drama, white traditional brides should take a look at flowers such as hydrangeas and pinks.

For your reception, play up the rustic theme by decorating tables with pumpkins, or labelling apples or pears with place names. Bold colours and simple flowers such as gerberas, on the other hand, will create a more opulent, modern feel.
