When bride-to-be Kayleigh Robertson entered our competition to win a Beverley Lister wedding dress from the Evangeline Rose Bridal boutique in Surrey, she never thought she would actually win her dream gown…

”It wasn’t until I arrived in the shop and met the designer that I realised it wasn’t all a dream,” she says.

Kayleigh was invited to the store to try on as many dresses as she liked, until she found The One. “One of the first dresses I looked at was a lovely lace-layered dress, it really caught my eye and from there my mind was made up.”

The bride styled the dress with accessories, a veil, a stunning pair of shoes and sparkly jewellery. “It looked amazing with everything put together,” she says.

It was the dress that inspired the entire theme of Kayleigh’s retro-look day. “I ordered vintage pink roses for my bouquet and themed the whole wedding reception around this.”

Everything came together and on the 28th May, 2011 Kayleigh married in a lovely village church in Haile, Cumbria. “Everyone commented on how beautiful my wedding dress was – winning this competition made my day truly perfect!"
