Cosmo bride explores… Paris!

Fashion director Sally Dixon and fashion assistant Alice Burnfield show you how to work the city like a fashion pro...

La Vie En Rose

Aside from a stellar fashion shoot for Cosmo Bride – snapped at the abode of très chic designer Delphine Manivet – what else should a style-savvy Cosmo Bride-ite do in the city of love? We ask the team to find out!

Where it’s at

Smack bang in the middle of Paris’ über-chic central shopping district (the iconic Ritz Carlton hotel and Louvre gallery are a stone’s throw away) sits the Hotel Mayfair. With its beautifully classical rooms and oh-so-comfy beds, it’s the perfect place to relax in style after a romance-filled day strolling the wide avenues and sculpture-filled parks.

We loved it for its proximity to the Rue Saint-Honore; Paris’ most chi-chi shopping street.

Oh so chic!

As part of the Preferred Hotel Group we weren’t about to miss out on the hotel’s signature Oh So Chic package (a quick bit of Cosmo Bride savvy web investigation told us that the package is also available in nine other member hotels – brilliant)!

And what’s not to adore about the three-night stay, one-way airport transfer, daily breakfast, champagne and amuse-bouches (tasty little appetisers), especially with introductory rates starting at just €214 per night based on double occupancy?

Pain Au Chocolat Anyone?

Before embarking upon our model musings with the ever-chic Delphine, we decided upon a hearty breakfast – French-style – and feasted on fresh-baked croissants and pain au chocolat, served in the intimate surrounds of the hotel’s very own breakfast parlour.

The romance line

There’s something so romantic about travelling by train, especially in the comfort and speed of the Eurostar. Operating up to 18 daily services from London St Pancras International to Paris, and with return fares starting from just £69, it really is the only way to channel-hop.
