The Pelham Hotel
The Pelham Hotel in London is a small distinctive hotel with a huge sense of style designed by leading hotelier Kit Kemp. It’s a boutique hotel but with a quirky traditional feel, a blend of country cottage and small stately (staying here is like staying at a posh mate’s house!).
There are 52 bedrooms and suites. Bedrooms are individually designed but all are richly decorated in a modern, grand yet tasteful style. The bathrooms are marble and all rooms have DVD’s, internet, safe and mini bar.
The bathrobes are lovely and fluffy too!
There is a gym for those who wish to run, push weights etc and if you want a location for your wedding celebration, The Pelham’s function rooms have fantastic daylight and huge windows. You could have a tasteful cocktail party for up to 50 people, or half a dozen of you could have your pre-wedding dinner here – and you could come back for your anniversary.
If you want cosy, the wood panelled drawing room and library both have open fireplaces, great armchairs and would be a fab place to meet up before going to the theatre.
The Pelham Hotel would be a good choice for a first night as it’s a gorgeous spot to stay in and enjoy yourself.
But if you have to go out…
The Pelham Hotel is located directly opposite South Kensington tube station, a short walk from Hyde Park, Harrods, Brompton Cross, the Victoria & Albert, The Natural History and Science museums as well as the shops of Knightsbridge and Chelsea and Europe’s largest shopping mall: Westfield.
(Insider tip… Look out for Chelsea-based actors popping in for lunch at The Pelham’s Bistro 15!)
