It felt like forever that we’d been waiting to see Billie Faiers’ bridal look, and when she and OK! Magazine finally released photos from her and Greg’s big day we certainly weren’t disappointed.
From her gorgeous fishtail wedding dress by Berta, to her chic up-do to her radiant wedding make-up, we’re completely obsessed with Billie’s bridal style, so we hit up her wedding day make-up artist Krystal Dawn for a break-down of products she used to create Billie’s wedding make-up.
“The technique I always seem to do with Billie’s make-up is our go to look of subtle winged-out eyes, without harsh liner,” explains Krystal.
How to copy Billie Faiers’ wedding eye make-up
“For Billie’s bridal eye make-up I started by applying an eyeshadow base to neutralise the colour of the lid and allow the shadows to be long-wearing,” explains Krystal. “I used MAC’s Layin’ Low. I apply a little concealer under the brow and that’s the base created.”
For the colours in Billie’s wedding eye make-up, Krystal used Iconic London’s Day to Slay eyeshadow palette.
“I applied the shade Bellini into the socket and blended outwards. I then applied Fig eyeliner from Nudestix on the top and bottom lids, flicked the liner out in a smokey way rather than a cat eye flick. I did this by applying the shade Merlot Monday by Iconic London on top and blending outwards. I applied Champagne Chic in the inner corner of the eye and also on the brow bone to make the eyes really pop. I then applied under eye concealer and sharpened out the winged shadow.”
How to copy Billie’s bridal glow
Krystal’s top advice is to apply foundation after concealer, and never apply it on top of the concealer, but have the two products meet for a seamless finish. Highlighter can also be applied prior to foundaiton to achieve Billie’s lit from within glow.
“To highlight the face, try Iconic London’s Prep Set and Glow before you apply foundation so that it glows from within without looking oily.”
“We definitely wanted to go for a highlighted look to complement the beach wedding vibes. She wore the most stunning dress and the highlighter complemented this perfectly. She glowed all day and all night.
“Use liquid highlighter and dot this on the top of the cheek bones and blend. I set all of this with powder or highlighter and a matte bronzer. I applied a peachy blush onto the apples of the cheeks.”
