Bridal Beauty School: Coral

We've teamed up with make-up artist Hannah Martin at Bobbi Brown to show you how to create a fresh-faced coral look.

Summer brides have plenty to consider when it comes to their bridal looks. Brides getting hitched in the warmer weather will need a dress with breathable fabric, humidity-proof hair, and makeup that stays put even in a heatwave.

There’s something wonderful about saying ‘I do’ in the summer months though. With everything in bloom and guests in holiday mode, you’re guaranteed an upbeat atmosphere and stunning photographs.

Over the summer months, there’s also plenty of colour choice when it comes to blooms, with summer brides boasting the most vibrant bouquets. We love summery pinks, oranges and corals and think the warm palette is simply perfect for a midsummer celebration.

You don’t need to leave it to the flowers to give your wedding a colour boost though, your makeup and accessories can also compliment the palette. In fact, 2019’s pantone colour of the year is Living Coral and so we think there’s never been a better time to rock that summer hue!

To give you some coral inspiration and show you how to achieve a beautiful summer bridal makeup look, makeup artist Hannah Martin has filmed this amazing how-to. From the pinky flush of the cheeks to the stunning lip colour, we adore this wedding makeup look.

If you’re really keen on introducing coral to your wedding look, then consider pairing the makeup with a pretty coral nail polish and some coral-toned jewels in your hair accessories and jewellery. We think coloured pieces make a great change from traditional gold, silver and pearl and are sure to make your bridal ensemble stand out from the crowd.

To get started, watch the tutorial through. You may want to pick up a few of Hannah’s recommended products or tools before you give it a go. Remember, practise makes perfect so try the look a few times ahead of w-day!
