Renowned for her ultra-polished look, ambassador of skincare label Manuka Doctor Millie Mackintosh put her make-up artistry skills to good use yesterday when she tied the knot with Professor Green. Our beauty team go detective with her wedding pics to see how she achieved her gorgeous glow…
In the run up to the big day, Millie told us in her beauty lowdown, “my make-up will be very natural on the big day – I’ll wear my Portobello Belgravia Lashes, but I won’t wear heavy make-up.” The former Made In Chelsea star appeared to have kept her word as she walked down the aisle at Babington House with a sun-kissed, glowing complexion and an accentuated top lash line, shimmering coffee-hued eye shadow and false lashes.
To achieve Millie’s natural make-up look, our beauty team recommends creating an even base with a tinted moisturiser such as Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, £28 (which Millie swears by), before defining your cheeks with a sweep of bronzing powder – Stila One Step Bronze, £24, works a treat.
Draw attention to the eyes with a shadow in a warm, latte shade (Bobbi Brown’s limited edition Rich Chocolate Eye Palette, £39.50, has a beautiful array of coffee tones) and add drama to the upper lash line by applying liquid eyeliner and Millie’s favourite Portobello Belgravia false lashes, £8.99.
During her engagement, make-up artist Millie kept things simple with natural shades on her nails, telling us “as far as colour goes, I’m sticking to classic manicures”. On her wedding day, the 23-year-old chose a baby pink French manicure to complement her lace Temperley dress and pastel bouquet. Get the look with two coats of Essie’s chip-resistant Nail Polish in Vanity Fairest – an irresistibly pretty pale pink colour, paired with OPI Alpine Snow Nail Lacquer on the tips. One coat of long-lasting top coat such as Sally Hansen Nail Shine Miracle and you’re good to go!
