Kate’s special 6 Big-day beauty bag essentials

Beauty editor Sarah Green on her special six Big-day wedding make-up treats for Princess Kate

Don’t leave for the church without them!

When it comes to 29 April, royal-bride-to-be Kate Middleton will want to look her best. Beauty editor Sarah Green offers her essential red-hot beauty treats for Ms Middleton’s big day.

1. Her nails

With millions of eyes, not to mention camera lenses focusing on her new wedding band, Kate will have to ensure that her nails are up to scratch. The right length? Short with softly rounded edges. The right shade? What about Kate, a suits-every-skin-tone nude as created by nails inc especially for Miss Middleton’s big day. And on her toes it’s got to be red hot Wills.

2. Her fragrance

Perfume has as much power as a photograph in recapturing memories of your wedding day. With Kate’s pictures being the property of the entire world, she’ll cherish the fact that her fragrance belongs to just her and Wills. Betrothal is worth a smell just for the name alone. With a fresh, citrus hit first, it quickly subsides to allow soft florals, woods and vanilla to seep through. A perfect ‘I do’ love potion.

3. Her lips

The world will be waiting for the ‘kiss on the balcony’ shot. Guaranteed it will be magnified several times for the front pages of every newspaper in the world so her pucker has got to look perfect. A slick of Chanel Rouge Coco Shine will drench her lips in glossy colour that promises to last up to eight hours – a big ask on a newly crowned princess’ big day. We hope she goes for Romance, a lust-have coppery pink shot with shimmer.

4. Her lashes

There won’t be a dry eye in the Abbey come the opening strains of The Wedding March. An absolute must-have to guard against black tears (not a good look in front of Her Madge) is to stroke on waterproof mascara. A bucket-load of L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara delivered to the Palace on the morning and dished out to the mother-of-the-bride and the bridesmaids, as well as Kate herself will guarantee fuller flutters and smudge-free faces all-round.

5. Her glow

She’s found Mr Right, now what about Mr Bright? This cute kit has everything a bride-to-be could need to ensure a flawless face – an essential blemish blitzer, a golden glow bestower, a pink cheek flusher and a liquid highlighter to max out her cheekbones. What’s not to love?

6. Her hair

Not since Jennifer Aniston back in the Friends days, did a hairstyle catch the world’s attention so much. We all craved the length, the bounce and the supercharged shine of Kate’s hair on the day of her engagement. As far as those famous follicles are concerned, it’s all thanks to the mane men at Richard Ward’s fabulously swanky salon in Sloane Square. If you can’t afford an appointment, you can still get a little bit of the Royal hair treatment in your own bathroom with his Couture Hair range. We bet Kate’s been having weekly sessions under a blob of his Silk Protein Masque. Infused with colour lock technology along with a host of moisturising goodies and a heavenly smell, your hair will be left as sleek, smooth and shiny as a Princess’.
